One of my most rewarding projects was a custom gift I made for my little friend Rachit's 6th birthday. He loved Hot Wheels, so I decided to create a custom "Hot Wheels" plane just for him.

The project began with 3D modeling and printing the plane. After printing, I painted it with acrylic paints, carefully adding details to make it look vibrant and exciting. Next, I designed authentic-looking Hot Wheels packaging to house the plane.

To create the clear plastic housing for the plane, I used plastic sheets and a lemon tea box as a mold. By heating the plastic with a hairdryer, I was able to shape it perfectly around the plane.

Throughout the project, I learned a lot about digital and physical design, as well as creatively using materials I had on hand. But the best part was seeing Rachit's reaction. To make the gift even more special, I filmed a commercial for the plane and crafted a backstory, telling him it was a secret project from Hot Wheels made just for him. I even sent him notes from "Hot Wheels," which he absolutely loved.

This project was incredibly rewarding because it brought so much joy to Rachit. Seeing his excitement and knowing how much he appreciated the gift made all the effort worthwhile. He still keeps and plays with the plane safely, and every time I see it, it makes me happy knowing how much it means to him.
