I was selected for the Varsity Badminton Team, which consists of 13 members chosen from over 200 students during tryouts. Badminton is one of Indonesia’s most competitive sports, with legends like Jonathan Christie and Taufik Hidayat inspiring young players.

We competed in multiple local tournaments and one international competition. In 2025, I was selected again to represent the team in more tournaments. I also participated in the IASAS Invitationals, where I won gold against four regional teams.

I also was captain of junior varsity when i was in 9th grade, and led a team of 20 members to many tournaments, coaching them and giving my team the confidence to play against tougher opponents.

What I Learned: Playing at a high level has pushed me to improve my mental and physical resilience. I’ve learned teamwork, discipline, and strategic play from competing against top-level athletes.

Goal & Outcome: My goal was to compete at the highest level possible and contribute to my team’s success. The outcome was winning a gold medal at IASAS invitationals.
